On the afternoon of June 26, 2024, Wuhan University of Technology held the "Appointment Ceremony of Part time Professors and the 23rd Exhibition Report of the School of Materials Science and Technology" at the conference room 201 of the school's conference center, in the scorching sun of Wuhan. The meeting was presided over by Professor Lu Shaoping, Secretary of the School of Materials Science and Technology of Wuhan University of Technology. Firstly, Secretary Lu will introduce the professional history and achievements of Zheng Shulong's inorganic non-metallic materials (ceramics) major in the past 40 years; Subsequently, Meng Fangbing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Wuhan University of Technology, read out the appointment letter signed by Yang Zongkai, President of Wuhan University of Technology, and issued the appointment certificate on behalf of the university; Finally, Mr. Zheng delivered the 23rd Wuhan University of Science and Technology Materials Institute Exhibition Academic Report, presenting a brilliant presentation on the development of architectural ceramics and the digital application of materials to the school leaders and teachers present.





Zheng Shulong High School is a high-level talent of "Foshan Innovation Leading Talent" and "Miaocheng Talent", and an outstanding alumnus of Wuhan University of Technology.
During his nearly 40 year professional career, he served as the director of the Guangdong Provincial Building Special Ceramics Engineering Technology R&D Center, the head of the enterprise postdoctoral research workstation, and the postdoctoral supervisor. The enterprise has been recognized as a national high-tech enterprise, a national torch key high-tech enterprise, and an innovative enterprise in Guangdong Province.
He has been hired as an expert in the expert database of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, a mandatory product certification technical expert of the National Certification and Supervision Commission, and a member of the National Building and Sanitary Ceramics Standardization Technical Committee at the provincial and ministerial levels. As the project leader, he has completed more than 20 important national and provincial technical research tasks, including the National "Ninth Five Year Plan" project, the National Torch Plan project, the National Oceanic Administration's public welfare special project, the Guangdong Provincial Major Science and Technology Special Project, the Guangdong Hong Kong Key Field Key Breakthrough Project, and the Guangdong Provincial and Ministerial Industry University Research. He has pioneered multiple industry technological inventions and innovation achievements such as negative ion functional ceramics. Drafted 4 industry technical standards, obtained 12 national invention and utility model patents, participated in the writing of "Ceramic Waste Recycling and Utilization Technology" and "Modern Building and Sanitary Ceramics Engineering Manual" (published by China Building Materials Press), leading the technological progress and development of the entire industry.
His outstanding performance has been recognized by the national, provincial, and local governments. In 1996, he was awarded the "Guangdong Province Youth Science and Technology Model", in 2000, he was awarded the "Fourth China Silicate Youth Science and Technology Award", in 2006, he was awarded the "Advanced Worker Award" in Foshan City, in 2006, he was awarded the second prize of the "National Building Materials Industry Technology Innovation Award", and in 2007, he was awarded the honorary title of "Outstanding Contribution Talent Award" in Sanshui District, Foshan City. In 2009, he was awarded the title of "Outstanding Scientific and Technological Worker to Promote Technical Progress in Foshan Ceramic Industry", in 2008 and 2010, he was awarded the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Award by the Guangdong People's Government, in 2013, he was awarded the "National model worker in Building Materials Industry", and in 2023, he was awarded the second prize of Guangxi Science and Technology Progress Award.
